Food-decision making thought pattern
[trigger]: while eating, saw YT poor parts of Africa which livelihood comes from Palm oil, thinking about eating better and losing weight
[probing thought]: what is it about ‘eating’ that you can’t just easily let go of? the meaning behind it or the emotions associated with it.
[actions]: still eating lunch
[sensory thought]: sensing that it’s almost full
[body]: stomach is almost full, keep chewing the food
[reflective thought]: well, food is part of the culture, gives relief, status-bearing (i guess).
[critical thought]: why is it part of your thoughts are just so adamant in eating when it’s not even its turn to eat
[comparative thought]: remember that silver back gorillas being fed? it’s fruits. all healthy. why can’t you do that? eat healthy too? too many temptations right?
[sarcastic thought]: so you’re saying that you need to live in the mountains to contain your thoughts and eat healthy?
[frustrated thought]: i don’t get it. bisan imong bana dili kasabot ug ngaong simple raman unta na.. kabalo ka unsay dili maayo yet here you are.. doing the opposite. i just don’t ge tit.
[confused thought]: naglibog bitaw pod ko. galisod judko ug tuman. i know what is right and good.
[supportive thought]: see? there you are. hang on to it. those words you just said.
[realizing thought]: naa raman diay na
[defensive thought]: you know what i don’t like your tone.. too judgmental as if it’s that easy
[challenging thought]: because it is. ingon ara rajud ka sayon. so unsa juy problema.. pasabta daw ko.
[angry conscious thought]: i hate that tone. you sound like my husband. this is not a matter of life and death karong minutoha.
[cautionary thought]: but…. admit it. ga deposito nas longevity sa imong kinabuhi. we never know naay mo trigger nga hidden sakit or diseases (whatever those terms are). and you would feel regrets down the road. remember, dili ka ganahan mag regret? haunting thoughts taunting you because you didn’t listen and act to what is right and good.
[meta-cognitive thought]: stronger thoughts gets more noticeable easily
[craving thought]: coffee
[body]: salivating
[questioning thought]: like karon o.. naglaway naka. now the question is.. ok pa ba nga moinom kag kape?
[permissive thought]: i think so. it’s coffee time.
[concerned thought]: but gaubo manka.. ok raba pod kaha
[bargaining conscious thought]: i think so. coffee + 1 tsp sugar + 2 tsp cream.. i think it’s still good. please bisan kana lang
[boundary-setting thought]: and enough natong single bite sa choco bread, please.
[sensory thought]: sensing that the stomach is really full
[justifying conscious thought]: just coffee mao ra.. molakaw mansab mi ron maghinlo
[concluding thought]: well, stop muna tayo ng discussion. pagod na po. later na naman.
